I am Faburama Jambang, an experienced healthcare professional with a deep commitment to improving public health. My journey in the medical field began after completing my Senior Secondary School education, when I enrolled in the State Enrolled Nursing School from 1988 to 1990, where I trained as a general nurse.
Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience working in various units and wards, including Male/Female Surgical Wards, Male/Female Medical Wards, Pediatric Ward, and the Out-Patient Department. In 1992, I further specialized by completing a Midwifery program, which led to five years of dedicated service as a midwife at the Teaching Hospital in Banjul. During this period, I worked in the Labour Ward, Antenatal Ward, and Postnatal Ward, and also joined the Reproductive and Child Health Clinic, where I provided essential services to antenatal mothers and children under five at outreach clinics.
In addition to my clinical work, I have been posted to various health centers across the country as an Officer in Charge, where I have been able to make a significant impact on local healthcare delivery. My commitment to continuous professional development has led me to earn eleven different certificates through in-service training programs for health providers.
Currently, I am honored to serve as the new Internal Medicine Doctor at Kundembo Health Post, where I am eager to apply my extensive experience and knowledge to improve the health and well-being of the community. I am dedicated to delivering high-quality care and exploring new possibilities to enhance healthcare services at Kundembo.
